my gor-or-or-or-or-geous clapotis!
That yummy yarn turned into my clapotis last week! Well it has been turning into it for awhile but I got it done last week. I feel like I haven't been making very many things lately but I guess it has just been some big projects taking up my time. I love this scarf/shawl. I really wanted to make a shawl, I love when other people wear shawls, they look so comfortable and cool (as in stylish, obviously they are rather warm and cozy). I am not sure how I look in a shawl though, I feel funny or like a fraud (no one has ever accused me of being cool, or maybe no one else thinks that people that wear shawls are cool, in which case I should fit right in!) Anywho, I can wear this as a scarf or a shawl so I am very happy I picked this pattern!
(sorry Auntie Joan, my posture is horrid, I will practice)
Pattern: Clapotis (see my mods on my rav project page)
Yarn: Ella Rae Lace Merino
I love this yarn, LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I have about 200 yds left over, I have no idea what to do with that amount, any suggestions?

brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?
a baby quilt!
I knew I wanted to make my friend (whose baby popped yesterday!!) a unique baby quilt. (Well, unique for me in that I have never made something like this before.) They also weren't going to find out the sex of the baby so I wanted something very neutral. I came across the brown bear, brown bear fabric line...jiggty jig! I devised a quilt plan and ordered the fabrics accordingly. Then 5 months later, I got everything out, all happy I had a plan. But then I didn't like my plan and wanted something that looked more like a puzzle. So I came up with a new plan and added the yellow and green from my stash.
yes indeed, JIGGTY JIG!
I am not sure which animal is my favorite.
maybe the frog, he looks down right happy to be apart of the quilt, even though his bum is cut off
fabrics: all purchased from fabric.com: one brown bear panel, big animal brown bear fabric, orange and brown brown bear fabric, purple is from the hungry caterpillar line, multi color striped brown bear fabric line and finally yellow and green kona cotton
size: after washing 38" x 52"
pattern: 4 different quilt blocks, randomly placed around.
But I have fabric left over...OH NO! should I make another? um, yes please!
